Branding a Skateboard Company for a Bryte Future
BRYTE Skateboards
Steve Berra had a goal in 2020 - spark some hope in the skateboarding community in the midst of the pandemic. The way he manifested this goal became Bryte Skateboards - a company focused on supporting skaters rather than taking advantage of them. I helped Steve develop a brand that was bright, welcoming, and celebrated the different styles, personalities and types of modern day skateboarding. Within the first week of launching, Bryte garnered 25k followers on Instagram and sold out of their first line of merch surpassing their initial sales goal.

A goal of the logo was to represent the community, expression, and connection through skateboarding. The overlapping shapes and bright colors represented the styles and people that create the vibrancy of skate culture.

As Bryte grew, is was essential to have a living document that conveyed the story values, graphics, and ideas that made Bryte what it is today.

To boost the brand reach, I worked on custom Bryte skins in the game SkaterXL. This allowed for players to download designs and ride a Bryte board in game.
